Swarthmore Pair Make Top 25 at Championships

ABBOTSTOWN, Pa. -- Swarthmore sophomore Jeffrey Lazarus and senior Darren Johnson posted top-25 finishes at the 2008 Centennial Conference Golf Championships at the Bridges Golf Club this past weekend.

Lazarus (Woodcliff, N.J. / Pascack Hills) posted a 243 total (76-80-87) over the three-day event to finish in 22nd place while Johnson (Lexington, Va. / Rockbridge County) tied for 23rd with a 245 (83-81-81).

McDaniel won the Centennial team championship with a score of 917, followed by Muhlenberg (934) and Gettysburg (946). The individual title also went to the Green Terror as Steve Meier posted a 226 (79-73-74).

According to the Centennial rules, the Garnet did not qualify as a team during the regular season and did not post a team score.
