Phong Posts Top Ten
PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. -- Swarthmore golfers Samantha Phong '09 and Ashley Acle '11 traveled north to the Ursinus Invitational, hosted at the Rivercrest Golf Club Tuesday afternoon.
Phong (Long Beach, Calif. / Polytechnic) recorded a top-ten finish, posting a score of 101 to finish eighth out of 125 competitors. Susquehanna's Rachael Villano carded an 89 to take medalist honors.
Phong and Acle (San Diego, Calif. / San Diego), who posted a 156, competed as individuals with hopes of qualifying for the upcoming Centennial Conference Championships.
