Fords Drive Past Garnet

HAVERFORD, Pa. -- Swarthmore's Scott Dalane '08 and Thomas Nakamura '10 each picked up two hits in the 12-4 loss against Haverford during Centennial Conference baseball action on Tuesday afternoon at the Class of '16 Field.

Dalane (Vernon, N.J. / Vernon Township) went 2-for-5 from the plate to pick up his 35th hit of the season. Shortstop Nakamura (San Francisco, Calif. / Lowell) also went 2-for-5 at the plate with two RBIs and two runs scored.

Pitcher Zach Sinemus ’10 (Short Hills, N.J. / Millburn) took the loss for the Garnet while freshman James Bernard (Philadelphia, Pa. / Friends Select) pitched four innings in relief.

The Garnet will look to even out the series with Haverford when they host the Fords on Friday, April 18th. First pitch is schedule for 3:30 p.m.
