Riley Picks Up Third CC Weekly Honor

LANCASTER, Pa. -- Swarthmore pitcher Kathryn Riley was named Centennial Conference Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the Conference office Monday.

Riley (Dagsboro, Del. / Indian River), a sophomore, won all four starts this past week posting a 0.93 ERA in 30.0 innings pitched. The right-hander allowed just four earned runs, striking out 31 batters while walking just four. Riley twirled a pair of one-hit shutouts in road Conference play, blanking Muhlenberg 2-0 on April 8 and McDaniel 1-0 on April 12.

Riley leads the Conference in doubles (eight), RBIs (19), total bases (40) and slugging percentage (.678) while ranking second in wins (13), earned-run average (1.50), innings pitched (112.0), strikeouts (120), opponents’ batting average (.198).

This is Riley’s third weekly honor from the Conference—she was named Co-Pitcher of the Week on March 24 and Player of the Week on March 31.

The Garnet are 19-9 overall following Tuesday’s action with an 8-2 Conference record.
