PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- Swarthmore junior Michael Bernasek hit eight consecutive greens in regulation on his way to a fourth-place finish in a quad-match hosted by Holy Family at the Torresdale Frankford Country Club Friday afternoon.
Bernasek (Fairfield, Conn. / Hopkins School) carded a nine-over 79 at the 6381-yard, Donald Ross-deigned course on warm, yet overcast afternoon. Holy Family’s Jon Raddick took medalist honors with a 74. Swarthmore senior Armand Russo (Bloomfield, N.J. / Bloomfield) recorded a 90 to finish in the top ten.
Swarthmore finished third as a team, with an overall score of 364. Holy Family earned top team honors as well, registering a 324 to out-distance Cabrini (343) and Philadelphia Biblical (372).
The Garnet play their final home match this Monday, April 14, welcoming Drexel and Neumann to Rolling Green Country Club. Tee-time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
