Riley Named Co-Pitcher of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. -- Swarthmore sophomore Kathryn Riley has been named Centennial Conference Co-Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the Conference office Monday afternoon.

Riley (Dagsboro, Del. / Indian River) tossed a five-inning one-hitter in her only appearance of the week, striking out eight batters in a 16-0 victory at PSU-Berks. She has allowed just two hits in her last 14 innings, striking out 20 while walking only three hitters.

This is the second weekly Conference honor for Riley. She was named Pitcher of the Week on April 16, 2007.

Swarthmore (7-5) makes its 2008 home debut Tuesday afternoon with a 3:00 p.m. doubleheader against the Widener Pride.
