Bess Records a Personal-Best
BOSTON, Mass. -- The Swarthmore indoor track and field team sent individuals to Boston University this past weekend to compete in the annual Valentine Invitational.
Sophomore Connor Darby (Nashville, Tenn. / MLK) ran a personal-best in the 800 in 1:57.91; right behind Darby was alumnus Matt Schiller '07 running for the Greater Boston Track Club. Schiller came in at 1:58.13. Both Darby and Schiller were on the 4 X 800m Relay that broke the school record last spring with a time of 7:49.50.
On the women’s side Bess Ritter ’09 (Quaker Hill, Conn. / Waterford) ran the 3,000 meter posting a personal-best of 10:54.67.
