Swarthmore Alum Named to All-Decade Team
SWARTHMORE, Pa. -- Former Swarthmore guard Katie Robinson '04 was recently named to the D3hoops.com All-Decade Team. Robinson was selected fourth-team, as compiled by staff from the D3hoops.com All-America teams.
Robinson (Medfield, Mass. / Medfield), a three-time D3hoops.com All-America selection (first-team in 2004, honorable mention in 2002, 2003) and 2004 Jostens Award finalist, closed out her career as Swarthmore’s leader in career steals (420) and free-throw percentage (86.7), hitting 247 of 285 from the line. She ranks second all-time in field-goal percentage (48.2), third in assists (281) and scoring (1,652) and sixth in rebounds (728).
The two-time Centennial Player of the Year (2002, 2003) was just the sixth player to earn first-team all-Centennial honors three times. Robinson holds the Centennial Conference record for career steals, and ranks fourth in scoring, in the top-20 for career assists and career rebounding. Her 420 steals ranks 13th in NCAA Division III history.
In Robinson's four years in a Swarthmore uniform, the Garnet compiled an 81-30 record, won the 2000-01 Centennial Championship and advanced into the second round of the 2001 NCAA Division III tournament.
