Peterson Named CC Offensive Player of the Week Again
SWARTHMORE, Pa. -- Swarthmore midfielder Kirsten Peterson was selected as the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week announced Monday, Oct. 29th.
Peterson scored two goals in the 2-0 Centennial win over Franklin & Marshall on October 23rd and later in the week, she assisted on the lone Garnet goal in a 1-1 tie at Haverford.
Peterson leads Swarthmore with seven assists in 2007 and is tied for eighth in the Conference. She is also tied for third in game-winning goals.
This is Peterson's second weekly honor nod from the Conference--she was named Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 15.
The Swarthmore women's soccer team has a 12-2-1 overall record (7-2-1 in the Centennial) and is seeded third headed into this weekend’s Centennial Conference Championships in Baltimore, Md.
