Reynolds Picks Up Win, #4 Athenas Down #16 Garnet

CLAREMONT, Calif. -- Swarthmore senior All-American Sonya Reynolds picked up her second win of the spring as the visiting Garnet lost to fourth-ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 8-1 on Sunday afternoon.

Reynolds, ranked sixth in the Atlantic South Region, made quick work of Claremont's Jessica Nagasako at No. 1 singles winning 6-1, 6-0.  Nagasako is currently ranked fourth in the West Region in the most recent FILA ITA rankings.

The Garnet see their next action during Spring Break against No. 11 Carnegie Mellon on Tues., March 13 at 11:00 a.m.  Swarthmore will put its 30-match Centennial Conference win streak on the line on Saturday, March 21 at 3:30 p.m. when they travel up the road to Bryn Mawr.
