Women’s Track and Field: Wistar Runs Well at Danny Curran

CHESTER, Pa. - Emily Wistar '06 ran eighth in the 1,500 as Swarthmore competed at the Danny Curran Invitational on a wet Saturday morning at Widener University.

Wistar continued to lower her times in a successful senior season, hitting the finish line at 4:56.31 - the tenth fastest time in school history. Four Garnet other runners finished in the top 25; Lauren Fety '06 (20th - 5:14.71), Emma Stanley (21st - 5:15.00), Kavita Hardy '08 (23rd - 5:18.13), and Faith Pampel '09 (5:19.64). Freshman Bess Ritter was 27th in a time of 5:22.95.

Freshman sprinter Caitlin Mullarkey made her collegiate debut in the 100 meters (14.24) and 200 meters (29.36).

Swarthmore returns to action next Saturday at Richard Stockton College in the Osprey Invitational at 10:00 a.m.
