Swarthmore Rally Falls Short in Missouri

Classic on the campus of Washington University on St. Louis on Friday evening.
Swarthmore (0-6 overall) will play the University of Dallas at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3 in the consolation game .
Sophomore forward Ian McCormick tallied his first double-double of the season, scoring 15 points to go along with a game-high 15 rebounds. The Garnet out-rebounded W-L on the evening 41-26, yet committed 26 turnovers to Lutheran's 16.
Swarthmore fought back from a 43-34 halftime deficit to take a 59-58 lead following a Fliegelman lay-up with 9:37 left in the game.
Wisconsin-Lutheran clipped off a 10-3 run to extend the lead back to six, a margin it would maintain for the remainder of the contest.
Fleigelman shot a perfect six for six from the charity stripe on his way to a career-high 20 points. Kurman sank a game-high six triples while contributing six assists and five rebounds for Swarthmore. Junior forward Mark Rohde added ten points, six rebounds, and four assists for the Garnet.
