Chaplin Earns Bronze in 1,500 at CC
Vernon Chaplin '07 collected a bronze medal with a third place finish in the 1,500 meter run in a time of 4:01.54 to pace the Garnet on the final day of the Centennial Conference Championships at Muhlenberg College.
Garrett Ash '05 placed fifth in the 5K in a time of 15:33.67 and James Golden '05 ran eighth in 15:52.34. Duncan Gromko '07 had a busy day finishing seventh in the 800 (1:59.31), the 4x100 relay (45.69) and the 4x400 relay (3:29.61). Gromko covered the lead leg of the 4x100 with Brian Hwang '05, Tyler Lyson '06 and Nick Farrar '07 and ran the third leg of the 4x400 with Lyson, Chaplin and Keefe Keeley '06. Lyson also placed eighth in the 400 in a time of 51.48.
The Garnet finished in 9th place with 36 points. Results
