Garnet Swim By Bears
Franny Zhang '08 won two events to lead the Garnet to a 134-114 Centennial Conference victory at Ursinus.
Zhang swam a leg on the winning 200 medley relay team (1:55.38) with Erin Dwyer-Frazier '05, Michele Hom '07 and Sarah Cotcamp '07 to open the meet and won the 100 butterfly on 1:03. 63 to pace the Garnet.
Tara Finley '05 won the 1,000 freestyle (11:32.46), Melanie Johncilla '05 captured the 200 freestyle in 2:03.57 and Sarah Gordon '07 won the 200 butterfly in 2:26.42 as the Garnet had six different individual winners on the evening.
Jennie Lewis '08 (56.34) touched the wall first in a Garnet sweep of the 100 freestyle, placing ahead of Kathryn Jantz '05 (56.49) and Zhang (57.42) and Katie Altynova '08 picked up a win in the 200IM with a time of 2:22.62.
The Garnet return to action on Dec. 3-5 at the F&M Invite.
