Did you know your phone and voicemail have web portals? Anyone assigned a phone extension can manage their Cisco phone and voicemail through a web portal, using their Swarthmore credentials. Shared phone extensions and extensions assigned to a department, do not have web portals. The Cisco Self Care Portal allows you to manage various phone features, like Call Forwarding (for any extension on your phone), Speed and Abbreviated Dials, Call History, and updating the phone’s location (description). Voice Mail Maintenance This Friday,8/19, 5-6 PM

ITS will be applying a minor upgrade to the Voice Mail system this Friday, 8/19, between 5 and 6 PM. During this time, callers will continue to be able to leave new voice mail messages but these new messages will not be available to recipients until the upgrade is complete. Shifting Funds from Student Voice Mail Services to Internet Bandwidth for Students

PLEASE NOTE:  STUDENT RESIDENCE HALL PHONES ARE NOT AFFECTED BY THIS CHANGE After studying the voice mail usage logs and consulting with available students, we have decided to redirect the funds previously spent on student voice mail services and purchase additional Internet bandwidth instead. Eliminating student voice mail will save $9,000 per year in maintenance fees, and this will fund a 50% increase in bandwidth available to students.  This fall, we will move from 200MB to 300MB in Internet bandwidth for students. ITS Notice 5/22/09: No Access to Stored Voicemail Tuesday 5/26 from 8 AM – 1 PM

ITS will be doing maintenance on the voicemail system on Tuesday, May 26 from 8 AM to 1 PM.? During this time, there will be no access to voicemail left on the system prior to 8 AM that day.? New voicemail left during the maintenance window can be accessed as usual.? After maintenance is complete, access to all voicemail will be possible.? No voicemail will be lost.
