Cross Country Women Ranked No. 8 in Mideast Region

NEW ORLEANS -  After the first two competitions of the 2010 season, the Swarthmore College women’s cross country team find itself with an early-season regional ranking , as the team is ranked No. 8 in the Mideast Region according to the  the Division III USTFCCA rankings, the organization announced on Tuesday.

In its last meet, the Garnet were led by a 10th place performance from freshmen Emma Saarel to finish in second place finish at the Main Line Invitational, trailing only Division I No.1 and reigning national champion Villanova.

The Garnet will be competing next at the Paul Short Invite on October 1st.
