Garnet Field Hockey Falls to Elizabethtown 4-1
ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - Sophomore Katie Teleky would tie up the game with a turn around goal late in the first half but the Garnet (2-2) would fall after two second half goals by Elizabethtown Blue Jays (3-2) on Tuesday night.
Swat would fall behind early in the game before Teleky would fire the game-tying goal into the back of the goal in the 26th minute. The tie wouldn't last long when the Blue Jays' would retake the lead with a goal only seven minutes later.
Sophomore Sophia Agathis would pick up the assist on Teleky's goal.
Elizabethtown would throw everything they had at Swat but senior goalkeeper Katie Ashmore would stop seven of eleven shots on goal to keep the Garnet in the game.
E'town's Liz DeMatteis would net both second half goals.
The Swat field hockey team returns to action when it hosts Eastern on Saturday September 18. Play is set to begin at noon.
