LANCASTER, Pa. - The reigning three-time ECAC champion Swarthmore College women's soccer team has been selected third in the 2010 Centennial Conference preseason coaches' poll,  the conference announced on Thursday afternoon.

The Garnet return seven starters from the 2009 squad, which finished the season with a 16-4-1 record - setting a new program record for victories in a single season.

Johns Hopkins is the coaches' preseason pick to win its sixth straight and ninth overall Centennial women's soccer title in 2010. The Blue Jays were a unanimous choice at the top spot with 100 points and 10 first-place votes (voters not permitted to vote for their own team). Second-place goes to Dickinson with 85 points, while the Garnet followed with 78 points. Muhlenberg captured the fourth spot with 67 points and Haverford (65) and Gettysburg (63) nabbed fifth and sixth-place, respectively.
