Mark Wee Named Centennial Conference Player of the Week
LANCASTER, Pa. - Junior Mark Wee of the Swarthmore College men's tennis team has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week for the week ending April 27, the Conference announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Wee (Syosset, N.Y. - Syosset) finished the week undefeated in both singles and doubles play to help the Swarthmore College men's tennis team (9-9, 8-1) secure a spot in the Centennial Conference tournament. Against Haverford, Wee won No. 3 singles 6-4, 6-0 over Haverford's Will Garrett, while combining with Max Bressman to earn an 8-1 win at the No. 2 doubles position. Against F&M, Wee prevailed 6-3, 7-6 (5-3) over F&M's Cameron Relic, while again combining with Bressman to take No. 2 doubles 9-8 (7-5) over F&M's James Tunner and Doug Silverstein.
Swat returns to action this weekend when it hosts Franklin & Marshall in the semifinals of the Centennial Conference Tournament from the College. Action is slated to begin at 3:00 p.m.
