SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The streaking Swarthmore badminton team (5-1) squeaked out a close 5-4 win at home over Bryn Mawr College on Monday night from Tarble Pavilion.
Senior Kim Kramer was dominant once again, defeating Bryn Mawr No. 1 Priscy handily (21-7, 21-7). Maithili Parikh, Alice Xiang, and Faiza Siddiqui also came away with singles wins at the 2, 3, and 5 seeds. The Swarthmore women’s doubles pairing of Kramer and Parikh also handed Priscy and Whitney a defeat at #1 doubles to secure the team win. The final score was Swarthmore 5, Bryn Mawr 4.
Jeremy Loomis, the Garnet women’s tennis coach, stepped in at the last minute to coach the team following a sudden illness from head coach Brahvin Parikh. Loomis is now 1-0 as head coach of the badminton team.
