Stockbower Named To D3Hoops Team of the Week
STERLING, Va. - Junior Kathryn Stockbower of the Swarthmore College women's basketball team has been named to the D3Hoops Team of the Week, the organization announced on Wednesday.
Stockbower earned MVP honors at the Catholic University/Fairfield Inn Women's Basketball Classic after leading the Garnet to the tournament championship. In the title game, she scored 23 points and pulled down a season-high 20 rebounds in a 65-57 win over host Catholic. She scored 26 points in a 79-39 win over York (N.Y.) while shooting an impressive 69 percent from the field for the tournament.
Stockbower currently leads the Centennial Conference in scoring (21.3 ppg) and rebounding (12.3 rpg) and is ranked ninth and 14th nationally in those categories respectively. She also recorded the 50th double-double of her career in the win over Catholic.
