The Garnet were looking to rebound from their tough loss to Johns Hopkins with a big win on Saturday against Dickinson.  Set one saw Swarthmore strike first winning it 25-16.  In the second set the Red Devils built a solid lead of six and looked to be cruising to a set two victory but the Garnet had other plans.  Swarthmore battled back and after 17 kills, took game two 26-24.

The Red Devils' Alicia Palmieri served her team to a third set victory to push the match to a fourth set.  Senior Kearney Bangs and freshman Allie Coleman led the team to victory in the fourth set and combined for 49 assists in the match.  The Garnet won set four 25-12 having only two errors.

With the win, the Garnet move to 4-1 in conference play and matched their best record since 2003 when they posted 14 wins.  Swarthmore will be looking to one up that number on Tuesday October 13 when they travel to Muhlenberg.  Swat hits the court at 7 PM.
