Four Runners Named to USTFCCCA Academic Team

NEW ORLEANS,  La. -- Four Swarthmore women's cross country runners were named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division III Women's All-Academic Team announced Thursday afternoon.

The award honors those student-athletes who have succeeded both academically and athletically.  To be eligible for the award a student-athlete must carry a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average and must finish in the top 25 percent of the field at their respective NCAA regional meet.

The following is the list of Swarthmore student-athletes named to the All-Academic team:

Ashley Davies, Jr., Economics (New Providence, N.J. / Hunterdon Central)
Bess Ritter, Sr., Political Science (Quaker Hill, Conn. / Waterford)
Emma Stanley, Sr., Biology (Fogelsville, Pa. / Parkland)
Rebecca Woo, So., History ( Davis, Calif. / Davis Senior)
