Women’s Tennis: Garnet Secure Playoff Berth, Down Devils
SWARTHMORE, Pa. - Swarthmore (12-2, 8-0 CC) cruised to a 7-2 Centennial victory over visiting Dickinson on Saturday afternoon, solidifying their spot in the 2006 Centennial Conference Team Tennis Championship. Marissa Matthews '07, Emily Townsend '06, Jamie Midyette '08, and Oriana Galardi-Este won both their singles' and doubles' matches.
The Garnet won their 27th consecutive Centennial match, taking a strangle-hold on home-court advantage for the 2006 Centennial Team Championships.
Swarthmore travels to Johns Hopkins tomorrow, April 23, taking on the Blue Jays at 3:00 p.m. in a match re-scheduled from April 8.
