Violets Take Down Garnet
Stephen Shymon '09 and Jason Horowitz '07 won individual events as Swarthmore (1-3 overall, 1-1 CC) suffered a non-conference defeat, 117-80, at the hands of New York University on Saturday afternoon in Ware Pool.
Horwitz took first place in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 50.13. Shymon later took first in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 4:56.86, followed closely by teammate Andrew Frampton '08 (4:58.31).
In the next meet, the Garnet will face Ursinus on Tuesday, November 22 at 6:30 p.m. in Ware Pool.
