Conlon Hits Milestone in Gettysburg
Senior tri-captain Emily Conlon passed 3,000 career assists in Swarthmore's 3-0 defeat at Gettysburg (14-9, 7-2 CC) on Tuesday night. The Garnet (11-12, 4-3 CC) fell by scores of 30-24, 30-17, 30-21.
Conlon handed out 25 assists to go along with five digs on the evening. She now has 3,002 assists in her career, a school record, placing her 14th all-time in the Centennial Conference.
Erica George '07 led Swarthmroe with 11 kills and 14 digs while fellow outside hitter Jennifer Wang '09 contributed eight kills and 11 digs. Middle blocker Karen Berk '08 added five kills and four blocks.
The Garnet return to Tarble Pavilion on Saturday, October 22 when it plays host to Muhlenberg and Vassar in a tri-match. The day will begin with the Alumnae Match at 10:00 a.m., and Swarthmore will hit the court at 1:00 versus the Mules. Muhlenberg will face Vassar around 3:00 p.m. while the Garnet and Brewers will have a re-match of the third place game of the Seven Sisters Tournament at 5:00 p.m.
