Wellesley Advances Past Swarthmore

Wellesley advanced to their seventeenth Seven Sisters championship match, downing Swarthmore 3-0 (30-17, 30-17, 30-25) in the second round of the 2005 Seven Sister Championship on Saturday afternoon in Tarble Pavilion.

Freshman outside hitter Jennifer Wang (Palo Alto, CA - Henry Gunn) rang up her eighth double-double of the season for the Garnet (10-6), accumulating 10 kills, 11 digs, and a pair of aces.  Freshman libero Erin Heaney (Buffalo, NY - City Honors) tied for the team-high with 12 digs, while senior setter Emily Conlon (Marlborough, CT - Loomis Chafee) collected 22 assists and 12 digs.

The Garnet are now 10-6 overall and will face Vassar for third place tomorrow, Oct. 9 at 12:00 p.m. in Tarble Pavilion.
