Swarthmore Fall In Centennial Opener
The Swarthmore (6-4, 0-1 CC) volleyball team dropped their Centennial Conference Opener to Franklin & Marshall 3-0 on Tuesday evening in Lancaster, Pa.
The Diplomats improve to 8-1 overall and 2-0 in Centennial play, winning by scores of 30-27, 30-26, and 30-12.
Erica George '07 tallied her fifth double-double of the season, with 15 kills and 21 digs while middle blocker Karen Berk '08 turned in 9 kills and 5 blocks while hitting .473 for the match. Emily Conlon '06 compiled 28 assists while Patrice Berry '06 served two aces.
The Garnet return to Tarble Pavilion for their next match, hosting Centennial foe McDaniel on Saturday, September 24 at 1:00 p.m.
