Starting immediately, I.T.S. is providing all students, faculty, and staff with access to lynda.com, an online subscription library that teaches the latest software skills through high-quality instructional videos. Lynda.com maintains a very large and up-to-date library of courses taught by prominent technologists and designers. New titles are added every week. Faculty/Staff FileMaker Pro 12 System Upgrade

On February 26th, FileMaker server files will be upgraded to the latest version, FileMaker Pro 12. ITS is upgrading to FileMaker Pro 12 because there is no longer any support for versions before 9. New Version of SPSS

ITS has a newer edition of SPSS (version 19) available for download for faculty, staff, and students here:ITS Software What’s new in version 19? Linear models: Linear models predict a continuous target based on linear relationships between the target and one or more predictors. Linear models are relatively simple and give an easily interpreted mathematical formula for scoring. UPDATED: Protect the Data on Your iDevice (iPad, iPhone, etc.)

Windows 8 Announcement

Microsoft released Windows 8 on October 26th, 2012 and most Windows hardware vendors are now shipping systems with Windows 8 installed. ITS Recommendation Information Technology Services (ITS) will support Windows 8 for our clients, including off-campus students, on new systems that ship with Windows 8 pre-installed. ITS strongly recommends that College community members thinking of upgrading to Windows 8 adopt a “wait and see” approach, continuing to use earlier supported versions of Windows (Windows 7 SP1 and Windows XP SP3) until the initial bugs and compatibility issues in Windows 8 are identified and fixed.
