Hobbs Sets Mile Standard Again

Sarah Hobbs ’06 broke her own record in the indoor mile crossing the finish line in a time of 5:16.67 at the Boston University Invitational. Burrow Clears Mark in Pole Vault

Rebecca Burrow ’08 cleared 8 foot 6 inches in the pole vault at the Ursinus Invitational to set a Swarthmore record. Burrow placed eighth in the event but bettered the Garnet record by six inches. It didn’t take long for Swarthmore’s newest indoor track record to fall as Sarah Hobbs’ 06 ran 5:16.73 in the mile at the NYU Invitational to best Carrie Ritter’s time of 5:17.4 set last month at a meet in Boston.
