ITS will be holding two “Introduction to Moodle” training sessions to help new users transition from Blackboard to our new learning management system. In the first half of the class, we will cover logging in, navigation, and adding materials and online assignments to courses. During the second half, participants will have to time to work on their course or explore additional features in Moodle. Over two days in July, Dr. Ruben Puentedura, a noted consultant and speaker on educational technology, gave four presentations at a summer mini-conference sponsored by ITS. The topics of the sessions covered areas in which Puentedura sees untapped transformative educational potential: mobile computing, data visualization, gaming, and use of web 2.0 tools in support of communities of practice. ITS is offering monthly training workshops to help further develop your Argos skills. All interested parties are invited to join this open forum to discuss and learn about Argos. Since all levels are invited, the content of each class will be driven by the participants, their abilities and their curiosity. Office 2007 Starting this summer, ITS began transitioning the campus from Microsoft Office 2003 (Windows) to Microsoft Office 2007. Starting this semester, all classroom computers, all public and managed departmental labs, and all new machines and setups will have the 2007 versions of Office installed on them. ITS has been working closely with faculty and staff to schedule the upgrade and many departments are now using Office 2007. Office 2007 has changed substantially for Windows users.
