2014 Blended Learning in the Liberal Arts Conference (hosted by Bryn Mawr College)

Bryn Mawr College announced that the third annual Blended Learning in the Liberal Arts Conference will be held on 21-22 May 2014. Advance registration by May 15 is required. Registration is free for Swarthmore College faculty and staff. This conference is part of the college’s Blended Learning in the Liberal Arts Initiative, funded by Next Generation Learning Challenges and The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Gaming Extravaganza – December 11th in Kohlberg 326 (LRC)

Please hold off on updating to Mavericks OS X 10.9

You may have heard Apple today announced that OS X 10.9 Mavericks is available as a free update today.  However, at this time ITS is recommending that community members NOT update to Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks yet. Moodle 2 Upgrade on Thursday August 8, 2013

ITS will upgrade to Moodle 2 on Thursday August 8, 2013.  Moodle will be unavailable from 11AM to 8PM.  All your existing courses and enrollments will remain in Moodle after the upgrade. Moodle 2 Upgrade This Summer

ITS will be upgrading our Moodle site to Moodle 2 this summer.  There are many improvements in Moodle 2 that make creating and updating a course easier.  Among the updates are the following: Drag and drop file uploads Conditional access: automatically make resources and activities visible after a specified date or to specified users.
