Event Registration with Qualtrics

If you create and promote events on campus, you may be aware that there has not been a centralized way to create event registration since our switch over to Swat Central. Qualtrics is a web-based platform that is primarily used to create and distribute surveys here on campus and is available to everyone here at Swarthmore to use. ITS teamed up with others from Events Management, Communications, HR, and the IC to look into Qualtrics as another option for creating event registration forms for various types of events that happen around campus.

Together, we thought over the types of events that happened here on campus and what kinds of questions needed to be asked of attendees to those events. We built several templates that allow users creating an event to limit the number of responses they receive, create limited space time slots for an event, and can provide customized submission responses and notices when registration is full.

For those of you who may already be using Qualtrics, you may have already noticed two templates appear in your Projects list. There are several templates that are structured around different uses and event types.  We have designed these templates with accessibility in mind.  If you are editing templates, we recommend you check accessibility using the built-in Qualtrics accessibility checking tool before sending surveys out.  We plan to roll out the remainder of the templates will be rolled out to the community by June 7, 2019.

If you would like to know more about what Qualtrics can do to further customize your event registration forms or surveys you can view our Qualtrics documentation and additional Qualtrics Help pages.  Stay tuned for sessions demoing these new capabilities!
