Duo enhances the security of your online data and privacy. This year, the entire Swarthmore community will be enrolled, and we’re here to show you how easy it is to get started.
You may already be familiar with two-factor authentication (also known as 2FA). Many banks, email providers, and social media sites use it already. You use a combination of two things to login:
- your password (something only you know)
- a device or code (something only you have)
Using these two factors makes it much harder for the evil folks to get to your data.
Get set up in 5-10 minutes — you are welcome to sign up by clicking on the “Enroll in Duo Two Factor Authentication” green button on this page at any point: http://www.swarthmore.edu/its/duo-2-factor-authentication
We also put together a handy-dandy “Choose Your Own Adventure”-style guide where we identified the most common type of ways people would want to use Duo, then set up a step-by-step guide for you to follow in order to set up your multiple methods: https://kb.swarthmore.edu:8443/display/2FA/Choosing+Your+Duo+Devices
