| Dance Program Associate in Performance LaDeva Davis, who teaches Tap technique and repertory at Swarthmore, received the 2019 Innovation Award in Dance Development last month at the Mann Center’s “Voices of Hope:” Black History Month Celebration. As a part of the event, the Mann Center honored four iconic educators throughout Philadelphia whose work and determination have greatly impacted the lives of the city’s students.
