Moodle Training in December and Early January

ITS will be offering three Moodle workshops in the next month. Spring 2012 will be the last semester Blackboard is available. Faculty teaching honors seminars during the 2011-2012 school year may want to use Moodle because Blackboard will not be available for rising juniors when they take their honors exams in the spring of 2013.  Feel free to drop into any of these workshops to learn more about Moodle.

Introduction to Moodle

On Thursday, December 15th from 1:30-2:30PM we will be holding a Introduction to Moodle training session in Science Center 256. On Friday, January 6th from 9:30-10:30AM, we will hold another Introduction to Moodle session in Trotter 201. This hands-on workshop will cover the basics of getting started and how to set up a course in Moodle.

Intermediate Moodle

On Monday, January 9th from 1:30-2:30PM, we’ll be having an Intermediate Moodle workshop in Science Center 256. Geared towards people with some experience using Moodle, this workshop will cover how to set up online assignments, blogs, wikis, surveys, and quizzes in Moodle. Other topics, such as groups, the gradebook, and discussion forums can be discussed based on attendee interest.
