ITS will be updating to Moodle version 3.3 on Wednesday August 16, 2017 from 7-10AM.  The new version of Moodle has both aesthetic and functional improvements.  The most noticeable change will be the updated theme, which will be more modern and accessible.  The course listing will be split into current, future, and past courses, making it easier to find your courses.

All your current courses and content will remain, but the site design and functionality will be improved.

Other improvements

• Easy overrides for assignment deadlines make it simpler to grant assignment extensions
• Limit assignment submission file types to require students to upload specific file types such as .doc or .pdf
• Drag and drop media files into a course page to quickly add audio and video files to your course
• Stealth Activities allow more flexibility in course design by enabling linking to hidden activities
• Emoji Support 🙄
