Midday webinar: Perspectives on Learning Data in Liberal Arts

Through Swarthmore’s participation in the Liberal Arts Consortium for Online Learning (LACOL), faculty and staff are invited to a 90-minute webinar/panel titled “Learning Data. What do we know? What do we want to know?” Swarthmore Associate Professor of Physics Catherine Crouch will be joined on the panel by speakers from Pomona, Williams, Haverford, and Carleton.

About the Learning Data panel

The focus of this online conversation is to set a broad frame for faculty perspectives on “learning data” as it is useful in guiding teaching and student success in the liberal arts. This area has rich possibilities for exploration and potential collaboration as a Consortium. Although related, this panel is not intended as a discussion of “learning analytics” methodologies/tools, or assessment as it may relate to accreditation.
