Adobe Creative Cloud now free for all Swarthmore College students

Adobe Creative Cloud is now available for free to all Swarthmore College students through ITS. This includes access to all of the Adobe Creative Suite apps, as well as additional cloud services. Adobe Creative Cloud typically costs $49.99/month for access to all apps, so this is a significant savings for students.

To get started, navigate to the ITS website. From there, you can click on the link to Adobe Creative Cloud and follow the instructions to sign up. Once you have an account, you can download and install any of the Adobe Creative Suite apps on your computer. If you get ambitious and are producing longer videos, or animations, remember the computers in the Media Center may have larger screens, more memory and more processing power than yours. Jeremy Polk and the Student Technologists in the Media Center are also a great source of help.

There are a few things to keep in mind when using Adobe Creative Cloud. First, you will need to have an active internet connection in order to use the cloud services. Secondly, you will only have access to the Adobe Creative Cloud apps while you are a Swarthmore College student. You can, however continue to use the apps after you graduate, as long as you maintain an active Adobe Creative Cloud subscription.

If you are a Swarthmore College student, be sure to take advantage of this great opportunity to use Adobe Creative Cloud for free. If you’re not sure how to take full advantage, check out LinkedIn Learning’s large library of video tutorials.

For faculty at Swarthmore, this could make it significantly easier to leverage Adobe for assignments and class projects. Your Academic Technology Team would be happy to discuss ideas with you!
