This semester, students from Professor Nackenoff’s POLS-22 class were tasked with updating the information for the American Elections map at Swarthmore College.
The map visualizes changes to voting laws since 2004.
Each student was responsible for researching changes in election laws affecting registration, early voting, absentee voting, mail-in voting, voter ID, and felon disenfranchisement from 2004 forward.
With the new data ready to go, ITS worked to make sure the codebase was up to standards, then with Professor Nackenoff to ensure the information was correct before going live.
