ITS is pleased to announce our new Adobe Creative Cloud licensing and self-service app, Creative Cloud Desktop! After November 2019, Swarthmore Faculty and Staff will use a new Adobe sign-in method.
The next time you launch an Adobe application like Acrobat DC or Adobe Photoshop on your College computer, you will be required to sign in with your full Swarthmore email address. After providing your network login credentials all Adobe apps on your computer will be managed by your new Creative Cloud account.
For more detail on the Creative Cloud login process and additional documentation, please visit our Adobe Creative Cloud software page.
There are several benefits to logging in to Creative Cloud directly using your Swarthmore credentials.
- The Creative Cloud Desktop will allow you to quickly launch and update desktop apps.
- Each application is available separately through self-service. If you require only one program you can download it independently.
- Adobe applications can now be downloaded and installed to multiple machines, including your home computer! Only two computers can be activated at the same time.
- New versions of Adobe apps will be available for download as soon as they are released. The 2020 versions are available now via the Creative Cloud Desktop app.
Important: Student personal computers are not covered by our Adobe license. However, the full Adobe Creative Cloud Suite is available on all public area computers in our libraries, classrooms, and dormitories for student use. For more details please visit Adobe Creative Cloud Use in Public Spaces
