GitHub, the company that provides web hosting for version control software, offers several services and programs of interest to students.

The GitHub Student Developer Pack provides students free access or credits for a variety of online services including GitHub (unlimited private repositories), Digital Ocean ($50 credit), and Stripe (no transaction fees on first $1000 processed).

GitHub also recently announced an opportunity for students to become a GitHub Campus Expert.

As a GitHub Campus Expert, you will receive training and mentorship from GitHub employees, opportunities to participate in exclusive events, and support to help you grow the developer community at your school.
