Mullarkey Picks Up Second CC Track Award

LANCASTER, Pa. -- Swarthmore senior Cait Mullarkey received Centennial Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the Conference office on Tuesday afternoon.

Mullarkey (Wilmington, Del. / Ursuline Academy) set her second school record in two weeks at the Gotham Cup in New York City Armory's New Balance Track & Field Center. Her first-place finish in 17:35.11 in the 5,000-meter run is good for a NCAA-provisional qualifying time.

This is the second consecutive week Mullarkey has been honored by the Conference; she was named Co-Track & Field Athlete of the Week on January 13 after setting a school-record in the mile at the University of Delaware.

The Garnet teams run next at the McElligott Meet hosted by Haverford College on Saturday, January 31.
