Mullarkey Runs 800 at ECAC
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Swarthmore junior Cait Mullarkey traveled to the 2008 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Track & Field Championships held at the Blake Track on the campus of Springfield College on Friday afternoon.
Mulllarkey (Wilmington, Del. / Ursuline Academy) won her heat by a wide margin posting a 2:16.87 race-time which was good for fourth place overall in the women’s 800 meter run.
The junior runner will have to wait till Sunday to find out if her provisional B cuts in the 800 meter and 3,000 meter steeplechase will qualify her for the 2008 Division III National Championships hosted at the University of Wisconsin May 22-24.
