Six Swarthmore Athletes Named to All-Conference Sportsmanship Team

LANCASTER, Pa. -- Six Swarthmore student-athletes were recently named to the 2007 Fall All-Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Team released by the conference office Tuesday afternoon. Each member institution was permitted to nominate one athlete from each program who exemplifies the best in sportsmanship.

This is the first year of the All-Centennial Sportsmanship team, which was proposed by the conference's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Mickey Katz ’08 (Stevens Point, Wis. / Stevens Point) Men’s Cross Country, Emma Stanley ’09 (Fogelsville, Pa. / Parkland) Women’s Cross Country, Sarah Reynolds ’09 (Potomac, Md. / Holton Arms) Field Hockey, Patrick Christmas ’08 (Chapel Hill, N.C. / East Chapel Hill) Men’s Soccer, Kristen Traband ’08 (Swarthmore, Pa. / Ridley) Women’s Soccer and Katherine Gold ’08 (Cherry Hill, N.J. / Cherry Hill East) Volleyball were recipients of this award in each of their respective sports.
