Stone Named Offensive Player of the Week



SWARTHMORE, Pa. -- Swarthmore junior Natalie Stone (Philadelphia, Pa. / Friends Select) was named Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 17, as announced by the Conference office.

Stone posted her second career hat-trick on Sept. 11 in a 5-1 win over Richard Stockton. Stone's fourth goal of the week factored in the Garnet's 3-1 win over Randolph-Macon on Sept. 16.

The Garnet forward's first three-goal game occurred on Sept. 9, 2006 during an 11-0 non-conference victory over the College of Notre Dame.

Swarthmore fall teams had a successful start to the 2007-2008 athletic season--five players have been named Centennial Conference Players of the Week.

Stone, an Economics major, is an active member in different organzations on campus, spending her time off the field as a part of the Swarthmore Sudan and Exploring Your Horizons. Stone also serves as a Chester Children's Chorus tutor and an Economics teaching assistant at Swarthmore.
