Garnet Women Run Third at Paul Short

LEHIGH, Pa. - The Swarthmore women's cross country team had an impressive showing at the Paul Short Open, finishing third out of 27 teams on Friday afternoon.

All Mid-East Region runner Emma Stanley led the Garnet with a 13th place finish (23:00), followed in by freshman Nyika Corbett in 15th (23:05).  Two more Swarthmore runners made the top-50, freshman Erin Ronhovde (29th - 23:50) and sophomore Bess Ritter (46th - 24:12), while Kathy Feeney '09 (58th - 24:25), Faith Pampel '09 (64th - 24:31), and Lauren DeLuca '10 (97th - 25:11) rounded out the scoring.

Swarthmore totaled 161 points to finish behind Haverford (107 pts.) and Wayne State (149 pts.), besting fellow Centennial rivals F&M (10th - 310 pts.) and Muhlenberg (14th - 362 pts.)

The Garnet will train this next week for the Dickinson Long/Short Invite, set to be run on Sat., Oct. 7 at 11:00 a.m. in Carlisle, Pa.
