Discussion

Bob here. Liz tells me that plugins may be available that would allow us to have threaded discussions. She writes:

On threaded discussion, I believe there are some WP plugins that do
this, although I've never tested them. We could give it a try. Were
you thinking of threaded comments? Or to have the actual posts be
threaded?

… and now, thanks to — interestingly — a LiveJournal post, I found one such plugin here.

LiveJournal users and others, what do you think?

I would really like threaded comments if possible.

Following up on Ariel’s comment in today’s class that it might be helpful if people ID themselves by nickname (“Bob”) rather than username (“brehak1″), I changed the way the blog lists me. If you want to do the same, click the “My Profile” link in the upper-right corner. There you can enter a nickname as well as first and last names. Once you have clicked the “Update Profile” button, it should be possible to select a new screen name for yourself by pulling down the “Display name publicly as:” menu.
