BOX SCORE

CARLISLE, Pa. - Junior Genny Pezzola had 12 kills, seven digs and two service aces and a trio of Garnet freshmen - Danielle Sullivan (7), Brone Lobichusky (6), and Maggie Duszyk  (6) - combined for 19 kills as the streaking Swarthmore volleyball team (14-4, 4-1) went on the road and swept Dickinson 3-0 (25-15, 25-21, 25-19) on Saturday afternoon.

After dropping its Centennial Conference opener at Johns Hopkins, the Garnet has responded in a big way, winning its next four Centennial Conference matches without losing a single game.

Pezzola led the Garnet with 12 kills and seven digs.

Junior libero Hillary Santana was the backbone of Garnet defense with 12 digs on the day.  Senior Sarah Lambert (8) and Pezzola (7) combined for another 15 digs to hold the Red Devils to only 28 kills in the match to Swat's 41.

Sophomore  Allison Coleman was at it again, setting up 26 of Swarthmore's kills.  Coleman also had five kills and an ace of her own, which - for the second-consecutive contest- ended the match. Lambert had seven assists.

Coleman's sophomore counterpart Kathryn Montemurro added another five kills and two services aces to the Swat offensive.

The Swarthmore volleyball team returns to action on Tuesday October 12 when Conference foe Muhlenberg visits Tarble Pavilion.  Play is set to begin at 7:00 PM.
