DuMont-McCaffrey Leads Garnet Men to Third-Place Finish in Main Line Invitational

HAVERFORD, Pa. - Sophomore Aidan DuMont-McCaffrey clocked in at 21:09.30 to lead the Garnet to a third place finish in the Main Line Invitational on Thursday afternoon.  DuMont-McCaffrey's time earned him 28th place in a field that included Division I Villanova runners.

Sophomore Bill King crossed the line with a course personal record of 21:25.07, beating his old time by a minute and .28 seconds.

Senior Patrick Hartnett (21:31.82), sophomore Patrick Hartnett (21:43.49) and freshman Robert Fain (21:44.71) all stayed close, finishing within .15 seconds of each other.

Junior Chris Wickham also earned a personal record in the race with a time of 22:03.65 to beat his old time by on minute and seven seconds.

The Swarthmore men's cross country returns to action on October 1 for the Paul Short Invite in Bethlehem, Pa.  The race is set to begin at 2:00 PM.
